Honestly, what is on my mind at 3am on a Saturday is obviously intelligent people that decide to kill a couple dozen others (referring to most recent massacre at the Batman premiere). Media tends to completely brush off the fact that these are humans have the capability (and practice) of advanced thought. It dismisses their writings as psychotic, and the politicians/government officials say exactly what you expect them to say (and, perhaps ironically, exactly what the villain in the movie where the people were massacred says the government says to keep people complacent).
That’s what’s on my mind. Murder done not by animals like those yelling outside my window right now (oh wait, they’re just drunk humans), but by humans that, in popular thought, ought to be high-minded enough not to kill.
And then, in popular media, we demonize these individuals, while similarly intelligent people go about the killing of many MORE people in a way that we deem legal because we elected them to some position of authority.
Kind of makes me want to run away and become a sasquatch.
